The South Dakota Legislature established the State Water Plan in The State Water Plan is intended to implement state policy on water resources management, to serve as the principal guide for state policies and priorities, and to identify areas for project assistance.

Incorporated: If two or more permits cover one water use system, they are incorporated together into one water license. Any development under the individual permits is combined into a single water license. This publication is dedicated to South Dakota’s early childhood professionals, teachers, caregivers, parents and all of the adults who nurture and support the development of young children.

The South Dakota Early Learning Guidelines are adapted, with permission, from the North Carolina Foundations for Early Learning and Development. West Dakota Water Development District supports entities that furnish financial, educational or other aid necessary to any project within the District that encourages: better utilization of our water resources through water conservation; proper water management.

The purpose, duties, functions and other controls relating to water development districts are found in South Dakota Codified Laws Chapters 46A-3A through 46A-3E. The districts have a broad mandate to work to promote the conservation, development and proper management of water resources within their respective boundaries.

Water Development Districts fall under the general supervisory jurisdiction of the South Dakota Conservancy District. The purpose, duties, functions and other controls relating to water development districts are found in South Dakota Codified Law Chapters 46A-3A through 46A-3E.
